Walking
If you are in the central part of Freetown, start by heading towards Siaka Stevens Street, which is a major road and is easy to locate. Walk towards the east until you reach the junction with and turn onto Campbell Street. Continue straight until you reach the end of Campbell Street, where it intersects with Main Motor Road. Take a left onto Main Motor Road and continue walking until you reach the junction with Lumley Beach Road. At this point, turn right onto Lumley Beach Road. Follow Lumley Beach Road until you reach the coast. Jolly Harbour is located to the east along the coast, and you can ask locals for directions as you approach the area.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from local shops in Freetown. Start at the National Museum of Sierra Leone, located in the city center. From there, ride down Siaka Stevens Street, then turn onto Campbell Street. Continue until you reach Main Motor Road and take a left. Cycle along Main Motor Road until you reach Lumley Beach Road, then turn right. Follow Lumley Beach Road until you reach Jolly Harbour. Be cautious of traffic and ensure to wear a helmet.

To reach Jolly Harbour using public transport, head to the nearest minibus stop, which is often located near major streets like Siaka Stevens Street. Look for a minibus heading towards Lumley Beach. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you are going to Jolly Harbour. Once you arrive at Lumley Beach, you may need to walk a bit along the coast to find Jolly Harbour. It’s advisable to ask the driver to drop you off as close as possible to your destination.
