Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from Port Loko, start by heading south on the main road towards Freetown. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you reach the outskirts of Freetown, follow signs towards the Peninsular Highway. Continue on the Peninsular Highway until you reach Goderich. Look for Sugarland Drive on your left. Turn onto Sugarland Drive and continue until you reach Sugarland Beach at 21 Sugarland Drive.

Public Transportation

For public transportation, take a shared taxi or a 'poda poda' (minibus) from Port Loko to Freetown. The fare is usually around 5,000 to 10,000 Leones. Once you arrive at Freetown, you will need to find a taxi or another 'poda poda' heading towards Goderich. Inform the driver that you are going to Sugarland Beach, or ask to be dropped off at the Peninsular Highway. After reaching Goderich, look for Sugarland Drive and walk to the beach located at 21 Sugarland Drive.

If you are already in Goderich, you can walk to Sugarland Beach from the main road. Depending on your starting point, walk towards Sugarland Drive, which is a short distance from the main road. Follow Sugarland Drive until you reach the beach at 21 Sugarland Drive. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially in the heat.
