Getting There

  • Car

    From River Number Two Beach, head east on the main road towards Freetown. Continue straight for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction at the main road. Turn left onto the road leading towards the hills. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Mambo Waterfalls. Turn right at the sign and follow the unpaved road for another 2 kilometers. You will eventually reach the parking area near the entrance to Mambo Waterfalls.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Mambo Waterfalls via public transportation, start at River Number Two Beach and take a shared taxi or ' poda poda' (minibus) heading towards Freetown. Inform the driver you want to get off at the junction for Mambo Waterfalls. The fare is typically around 10,000 leones. Once you reach the junction, you will need to either walk or arrange for a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you the remaining 5 kilometers to the waterfalls. The motorcycle fare should be around 5,000 leones. Be sure to negotiate the price before starting your ride.
