Walking
From Chinatown MRT Station (NE4/DT19), exit the station and head towards Pagoda Street. Walk along Pagoda Street until you reach Smith Street, then turn left onto Smith Street. Continue walking until you reach Upper Cross Street. Turn right onto Upper Cross Street and walk straight until you reach the junction with Hong Lim Park on your left. Cross the road at the traffic lights towards Hong Lim Park. Continue straight along Upper Cross Street until you reach a large intersection with Clarke Quay on your right and Boat Quay on your left. Cross the road at the lights, and walk down towards Boat Quay along the Singapore River until you arrive at Bonham Street, where Boat Quay is located.

Public Bus
From Chinatown, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on New Bridge Road (Bus Stop ID: 05151). Take bus number 175 or 80. After about 5-10 minutes, get off at the bus stop at Clarke Quay (Bus Stop ID: 05141). From there, walk towards the riverfront, and follow the riverside path along the Singapore River. You will reach Boat Quay in approximately 10 minutes. Keep an eye out for Bonham Street, where the entrance to Boat Quay is located.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing services available in Chinatown. Start at the nearest bike docking station, and head towards North Bridge Road. Continue along North Bridge Road, and then make a left onto South Bridge Road. Follow South Bridge Road until you reach the Singapore River. Once there, turn right and follow the river path until you reach Boat Quay. It should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
