Walking
From the Chinatown MRT station, exit the station and head towards Pagoda Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Smith Street. Turn left onto Smith Street and walk until you reach the end of the street. At the end of Smith Street, continue straight onto Trengganu Street. Follow Trengganu Street until you reach the junction with South Bridge Road. Here, turn right onto South Bridge Road. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will reach the Singapore River. There, you can find a taxi stand. Take a taxi to Batam City, which is approximately a 45-minute ride depending on traffic conditions.

From Chinatown, walk to the Chinatown MRT station and take the North East Line towards Punggol MRT/LRT Station. Transfer at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station to the North South Line towards Marina South Pier. Alight at HarbourFront MRT station. From there, head to the HarbourFront ferry terminal and purchase a ticket to Batam. The ferry ride will take about 45 minutes, and once you arrive at Batam, you can take a taxi to Jembatan 3 Barelang, which is approximately a 30-minute ride.
