Once at the terminal, purchase a ferry ticket to Batam. The ferry ride will take approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on the exact departure point and sea conditions. Ensure you have your passport ready as you will go through immigration. Once you arrive at Batam, you can rent a car or use local taxis to reach your hotel or desired destination on the island.

  For those using public transportation, head to the nearest bus station in your area. From cities like Tanjung Pinang, take a bus to the nearest ferry terminal. You will need to get to the Tanjung Pinang ferry terminal to catch a ferry to Batam. The bus fare will vary, but it's typically very affordable, around 20,000 IDR. Upon reaching Tanjung Pinang, buy a ferry ticket to Batam, which costs around 200,000 IDR for a one-way trip. After arriving in Batam, you can use local buses or taxis to navigate around the island.
