Walking
From the East Coast Park, head towards the nearest bus stop, which you can locate along East Coast Parkway. Take Bus 36 or Bus 43 in the direction of Marine Parade. After approximately 10-15 minutes, get off at the bus stop named 'Paya Lebar MRT Station'. From there, walk to the MRT station and take the East West Line towards Pasir Ris. Alight at Bugis MRT Station. Finally, exit the station and walk towards the Little India area, following the signs. The Former House of Tan Teng Niah is located at 37 Kerbau Rd, which is about a 10-minute walk from the MRT station.

If you have rented a bicycle from East Coast Park, head out of the park towards the main road. Follow the bike lanes along East Coast Parkway towards the city. You will reach the area of Geylang Serai. Continue cycling straight until you reach the junction at Sims Avenue. Turn left onto Sims Avenue and cycle straight until you reach Paya Lebar MRT Station. From there, follow the previous walking instructions to reach the Former House of Tan Teng Niah at 37 Kerbau Rd.
