Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the East Coast Park Service Centre, which is located near the entrance of the park. Head towards the main path that runs along the beach. Walk west along this path until you reach the end of the park where it intersects with Marine Parade Road. Cross Marine Parade Road at the pedestrian crossing and continue walking straight until you reach the next major road, which is still Marine Parade Road. Keep walking straight and you will come to the next intersection with Fort Road. Turn left onto Fort Road and continue walking until you reach the next major intersection. At that intersection, turn right onto East Coast Parkway (ECP). Continue walking towards the city center. You will eventually reach the Peranakan Museum located at 39 Armenian St, Singapore 179941. The museum will be on your right, just before you reach Armenian Street.

  • Bicycle

    If you have rented a bicycle from one of the bike rental stations in East Coast Park, start at the East Coast Park Service Centre. Cycle along the scenic paths of the park heading west. Follow the coastline until you reach the end of the park. Once you reach Marine Parade Road, carefully cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue cycling straight. Keep following the road until you reach the intersection with Fort Road. Turn left onto Fort Road and continue cycling until you reach East Coast Parkway (ECP). Turn right onto ECP and cycle towards the city center. You will eventually spot the Peranakan Museum on your right at 39 Armenian St, Singapore 179941.

    From East Coast Park, walk to the nearest bus stop located along Marine Parade Road. Take bus number 31 or 36 towards the city center. Alight at the bus stop named 'The Cathay', which is close to Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. From there, transfer to the MRT and take the North South Line (Red Line) in the direction of Jurong East. Alight at the next station, 'City Hall'. Exit the station and walk towards Armenian Street. The Peranakan Museum is located at 39 Armenian St, Singapore 179941, and is a short walk from the MRT station.
