From any point in East Coast Park, head towards the East Coast Parkway (ECP) and look for the nearest bus stop, which is usually labeled 'East Coast Park'. Take Bus 36, 43, 48, or 70 from the bus stop. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at 'Marine Parade Rd - Opp Parkway Parade'. From there, walk towards the nearest MRT station, which is 'Marine Parade MRT Station'. Take the MRT on the Circle Line towards Dhoby Ghaut. Alight at 'Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station' and transfer to the North South Line. Take the train towards Jurong East and alight at 'Raffles Place MRT Station'. From Raffles Place, take Exit C and walk towards Telok Ayer Street, where you will find 'Thian Hock Keng Temple' at 158 Telok Ayer St.

Once you reach Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, switch to the North South Line and board the train heading towards Jurong East. Alight at 'Raffles Place MRT Station', and exit via Exit C.
