Travel Guide to Newton Food Centre

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from MacRitchie Reservoir, head west on Lornie Road. Continue on Lornie Road, which will eventually turn into Mount Pleasant Road. Follow the signs for the Central Expressway (CTE) and take the exit toward the CTE. Merge onto the CTE and take Exit 7 for Bukit Timah Road. Stay on Bukit Timah Road until it merges with Newton Road. Continue straight until you reach Newton Food Centre located at 500 Clemenceau Ave N. Parking is available nearby, but be aware of potential parking fees.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  From MacRitchie Reservoir, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take Bus 131 from the bus stop near the reservoir entrance. Ride the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the bus stop near Newton MRT Station. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Newton Food Centre. Head south on Newton Road, take a left onto Clemenceau Avenue North, and you will see the food centre on your right.

• Public Transportation - MRT

  If you prefer to travel by MRT, walk to the nearest MRT station from MacRitchie Reservoir, which is the Bishan MRT Station. Take the North-South Line (Red Line) towards Marina South Pier and transfer at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to the North-East Line (Purple Line). Alight at Newton MRT Station. From Newton MRT Station, it is a 5-minute walk to Newton Food Centre. Exit the station and walk south on Newton Road, then take a left onto Clemenceau Avenue North.
