From Cole Bay, head towards the main road (A.T. Illidge Rd). Follow the road signs pointing towards Philipsburg. You will pass several shops and local eateries. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with A.T. Illidge Rd. Cross the street carefully and keep heading straight. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will see the Great Salt Pond birding area on your left side, just before the Philipsburg area.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from Cole Bay and ride towards A.T. Illidge Rd. Follow the road signs toward Philipsburg, maintaining a steady pace. After about 15-20 minutes of riding, you will approach the Great Salt Pond birding area, which will be on your left side before entering Philipsburg. Make sure to stay on the path and watch for any pedestrians.

From Cole Bay, catch a local bus or minibus heading towards Philipsburg. Inform the driver that you want to get off near A.T. Illidge Rd. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, walk towards A.T. Illidge Rd and continue straight. The Great Salt Pond birding area will be on your left side shortly after you disembark. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return timings.
