From Banská Bystrica, take the E77 road heading south towards Rimavská Sobota. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Muráň (signposted). Continue on the local road until you reach the village of Muráň. Follow the signs to Castle Muran, which is located just outside the village. Parking is available near the castle. Be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

From the Banská Bystrica bus station, take a bus to Rimavská Sobota. Buses run regularly throughout the day. Upon arrival in Rimavská Sobota, transfer to a local bus heading to Muráň. After a short ride, you will arrive in the village of Muráň. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to Castle Muran, following the signs. Ensure to check the local bus schedules in advance as they may vary.

If you are already in the village of Muráň, you can easily reach Castle Muran by foot. From the center of the village, head towards the marked trails leading up to the castle. The walk takes about 20-30 minutes and offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
