Public Transport
To reach Veľká Homoľa from Bratislava, start by taking a train from Bratislava's main train station (Bratislava hlavná stanica) to Modra. Trains to Modra are available regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Modra train station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located nearby. Catch bus 30 towards 'Harmónia' and ride for about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Veľká Homoľa' stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs leading to the observation deck, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start your journey in the center of Bratislava. Make your way towards the main train station (Bratislava hlavná stanica) and then head to the train platform for Modra. After arriving at Modra, exit the train station and walk to the bus stop to catch bus 30 to 'Harmónia'. After your bus ride, disembark at the 'Veľká Homoľa' stop and follow the marked path to the observation deck. The total walking distance from the train station in Modra to the observation deck is approximately 1.5 kilometers.
Cycling
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Bratislava and cycle to Modra. Start from the city center and follow the bike paths towards the suburb of Modra, which is approximately 25 kilometers away. Once you reach Modra, head towards the direction of Veľká Homoľa, where you will find bike-friendly paths leading to the observation deck. The ride offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, and it should take around 1-1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed.
