Car
If you are driving from Dolina, take the main road (D1) heading towards Zvolen. Continue on D1 for approximately 15 kilometers. Exit at the junction for Sklabinský Podzámok. Turn left onto the local road and follow it for about 2 kilometers until you reach Castle Sklabiňa. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
From Dolina, take a regional bus heading towards Žiar nad Hronom. The bus departs from the main bus station in Dolina. Once you arrive in Sklabinský Podzámok (the journey takes about 30 minutes), disembark at the bus stop. From there, walk about 1 kilometer along the local road leading to the castle. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as they may not be frequent.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Dolina to Castle Sklabiňa, start from the center of Dolina and head towards the main road leading to Sklabinský Podzámok. This is a distance of approximately 6 kilometers, which will take you around 1.5 hours to walk. Follow the signs towards Sklabinský Podzámok, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach Sklabinský Podzámok, the castle will be easily visible.
