Car
If you are driving from Dolina, start by heading southeast on the main road (Route 586). Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. Once in Liptovský Mikuláš, follow signs for Demänovská Dolina. Turn onto Route 203, which leads directly to Demänovská Ice Cave. There is a parking lot available near the entrance, but be aware that parking fees may apply, usually around €5 for the day.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a local bus from Dolina to Liptovský Mikuláš. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station. After arriving in Liptovský Mikuláš, transfer to a bus heading to Demänovská Dolina. This route typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Demänovská Dolina stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the entrance of the Demänovská Ice Cave. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
