Car
From Dolina, drive along the main road towards the city of Ochtiná. Follow the signs for Ochtiná, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. After about 15 minutes of driving, you will arrive in Ochtiná. Look for signs directing you to the Ochtinská Aragonite Cave. Upon reaching the cave, you can park in the designated parking area nearby. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €2-€3.
Public Transportation
From Dolina, take a local bus heading towards the town of Ochtiná. Buses may run every 30 minutes, so check the local timetable for exact schedules. The bus journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ochtiná bus station, exit the bus and follow the signs towards the Ochtinská Aragonite Cave, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Be mindful that the bus fare is usually around €1-€2.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Dolina to the cave, it’s a scenic route but requires a good level of fitness. The distance is approximately 6 kilometers and would take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Start by heading towards Ochtiná on the main road, ensuring to stay on the designated paths for safety. Enjoy the countryside views along the way.
