Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Dolina and head south towards the main road (Route 537). Continue on Route 537 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the town of Vysoké Tatry. Once in Vysoké Tatry, follow the signs for 'Tatranská Lomnica'. After about 5 kilometers, you will find a parking area where you can leave your car. From the parking area, follow the hiking trail signs towards Great Cold Valley (Veľká Studená Dolina). The hike will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, and the trails are well-marked. Note that parking may incur a fee, usually around €5 for a day.
Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Dolina to Vysoké Tatry. Buses run regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Vysoké Tatry, you can either walk to the Tatranská Lomnica area or take a local shuttle bus that may be available. Once you arrive at the Tatranská Lomnica area, look for the marked hiking trails leading to Great Cold Valley.
