Car
If you are driving from the town of Rožňava, head northeast on the E50 road. Continue for about 20 km until you reach the junction for the 66 road. Take the exit towards Dlhá Ves. Follow the 66 road for approximately 5 km. You will see signs for Domica Cave directing you to turn right. After turning right, follow the road until you arrive at the cave's parking area. Please note that there may be a parking fee, typically around €2.
Public Transportation
To reach Domica Cave using public transport, take a train from Rožňava to the village of Dlhá Ves. The train journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Dlhá Ves station, you can take a taxi or walk the remaining 3 km to the cave. The walk is scenic but ensure you have comfortable shoes and check the weather beforehand. Taxis may charge around €5-10 for the short ride.
Taxi
If you prefer more convenience, you can always book a taxi from any location in Gemer directly to Domica Cave. Taxis in this region may charge approximately €10-15 for a one-way trip from nearby towns like Rožňava or Plešivec. It is advisable to agree on the fare beforehand or confirm that the taxi uses a meter.
