If you are traveling by car, start from the center of the town of Rožňava. Head northwest on Hlavná Street and continue onto the E571 road. Follow the E571 for approximately 25 kilometers, then take the exit toward Muráň (about 2 kilometers from the town). Continue straight onto the local road that leads directly into the village of Muráň. Upon entering the village, follow the signs pointing toward Castle Muran, which is located on a ridge overlooking the village. There is limited parking available near the castle site.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Rožňava to the village of Muráň. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Rožňava. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Muráň, exit the bus and follow the signs towards Castle Muran, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance for return trips.

If you prefer to explore on foot and are already in the vicinity of Muráň, you can hike to Castle Muran. Start from the village center and follow the marked hiking trail that leads up to the castle.
