If you are driving from any location in Kysuce, head towards the town of Oravská Lesná. From the center of Kysucké Nové Mesto, take the road E58 heading north. Continue on E58 for approximately 25 km until you reach the junction for Oravská Lesná. Turn right onto the road leading to Oravská Lesná (follow signs for 029 57). Drive for about 10 km, until you reach Tanečník. The Orava Logging Railway is located at the coordinates 49.385663, 19.161136. There is parking available near the railway station, but make sure to check for any local parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach the Orava Logging Railway via public transport, start by taking a train or bus from Kysucké Nové Mesto to the town of Oravská Lesná. Buses run frequently throughout the day; check the local bus schedule for the most accurate times. Once you arrive in Oravská Lesná, you can either walk to the railway station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop (follow the main road towards Tanečník), or take a local taxi for a small fee.
