If you are traveling by car from Mala Fatra National Park to Veľká Fatra National Park, start by heading south on the main road (E58) from the village of Terchová. Continue on E58 for approximately 15 km until you reach the town of Dolný Kubín. Here, take the exit towards the D1 highway. Merge onto D1 and continue for about 20 km. Take exit 34 towards Liptovský Mikuláš. Stay on the road for another 10 km, and you will see signs for Veľká Fatra National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance, which is located near the village of Sklabinský Podzámok. The total drive should take around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic.

To reach Veľká Fatra National Park using public transportation, first take a bus from the village of Terchová to the town of Žilina. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. From Žilina, transfer to a train heading to Liptovský Mikuláš. The train ride takes approximately 45 minutes. Once in Liptovský Mikuláš, look for a local bus or shuttle service to Sklabinský Podzámok, which is the closest village to the park entrance.
