Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to Červený Kláštor using GPS coordinates (49.3990624, 20.4165036). From the center of Pieniny National Park, follow the signs towards Červený Kláštor. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes from locations such as Szczawnica or other nearby areas. Once you arrive in Červený Kláštor, look for the sign 'Red Monastery' (Červený Kláštor) at Pod lipami 20. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be a small fee (around €2) for parking.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Red Monastery via public transport, first take a bus from your current location in Pieniny National Park to Červený Kláštor. Buses typically run every hour, and you can check the local bus schedule for exact times. The bus will take you directly to the center of Červený Kláštor. Once you arrive, it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the monastery located at Pod lipami 20. There is no entry fee for the bus, but plan for around €2-€5 for the ticket depending on your starting point.

• Walking

  If you are staying in Červený Kláštor or nearby, you can easily walk to the Red Monastery. From the town center, head south towards Pod lipami street. Follow the signs for the Red Monastery, which will take you through scenic paths. The walk is approximately 1 km and should take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven in some areas.
