Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Prešov and head northwest on the E50 highway. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Vysoké Tatry. Take exit 4 towards Tatranská Lomnica. Follow the signs to the parking area near the Skok Waterfall trailhead. The parking fees may apply, typically around €5 for a full day. From the parking lot, the trail to Skok Waterfall is well-marked and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours of hiking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a train from Prešov to Poprad. This journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately €5. From Poprad, transfer to a local bus that goes to Tatranská Lomnica. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Tatranská Lomnica, follow the signs to the Skok Waterfall trailhead. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary, especially on weekends.
Hiking
Once you reach the Skok Waterfall trailhead, the hike is moderate in difficulty. The trail is well-marked, and you will pass through beautiful forested areas and scenic views of the High Tatras. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water. The hike to the waterfall takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Enjoy the stunning views along the way!
