Getting there

Car

From Tekov, get onto the main road heading towards the town of Žilina. Follow the signs for the E50 highway. Continue on the E50 for approximately 25 km until you reach the turn-off for Strečno. Take the exit toward Strečno and follow the signs leading into the village. Once in Strečno, follow Hradná street until you reach Castle Strečno. There is parking available near the castle, but it may incur a small fee.

Public Transportation

From Tekov, take a bus to Žilina. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Tekov. Once you arrive at the Žilina bus station, transfer to a local bus heading toward Strečno. The bus ride from Žilina to Strečno takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Strečno, walk along Hradná street for about 10 minutes to reach Castle Strečno. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary, especially on weekends.

Walking

If you are staying in the nearby village of Strečno, you can simply walk to Castle Strečno. From the center of the village, take Hradná street directly to the castle. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes and provides beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
