Start at Trenčín bus station, which is centrally located. Check the bus schedules for routes heading towards the Velká Skalka area. You may need to take a bus towards the nearby village of Kocurany or the Skalka area. The bus journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop, walk towards the direction of the monastery, which is signposted. Follow the signs leading to Jesuit Monastery Velká Skalka. The walk from the bus stop to the monastery is around 15 minutes.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and prefer walking from Trenčín, head towards the direction of the Trenčín Castle. After visiting the castle, follow the trail that leads into the hills towards Velká Skalka. The hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The route is scenic and you will encounter beautiful countryside views.
Bicycle Rental
