Start your journey at the Žilina bus station (Autobusová stanica Žilina). Take bus number 20 towards Budatín. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes, and you should get off at the 'Budatín' stop. From the bus stop, you will see Budatín Castle directly ahead. Walk straight for about 300 meters, and you will reach the entrance to the castle.

If you are near the main square (Námestie Andreja Hlinku) in Žilina, you can walk to Budatín Castle. Head east on Karadžičova Street, then turn left onto Rázusova Street. Continue straight until you reach the river. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge (most) and follow the path along the riverbank for about 1.5 kilometers. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Budatín Castle, which will be on your right.

Bicycle Rental
For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle. There are several bike rental shops in Žilina. Once you have your bike, head towards the river and follow the cycling path along the Váh River. The route is scenic and takes about 10-15 minutes of cycling. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards 'Budatín'. When you reach the castle, you can park your bike at the designated bike racks near the entrance.
