Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Bled, head southeast on Cesta svobode toward Ljubljanska cesta. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the junction. You will see the Bled Island and the lake on your right. At the junction, turn left onto the road leading to the base of Straža. Follow the signs for Straža, which is well-marked. The path gradually inclines, and you will be walking through a scenic area surrounded by trees. After approximately 500 meters, you will arrive at the base of Straža where you can take the funicular or hike up to the top.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Bled bus station, take bus number 1 towards Bled Jezero. The ride is about 5 minutes. Get off at the stop labeled 'Bled Straža'. After getting off, you will see the entrance to the Straža hill area. Follow the path that leads up to the site. The area is well-marked, and you will enjoy some beautiful views of the surroundings on your way up.

• Bike

  If you have rented a bike in Bled, start by heading southeast from the center toward the lake. Follow the bike path along the lake's edge for about 2 km. You will come to a point where a sign indicates the direction to Straža. Turn left and follow the road that leads to the base of Straža. The incline may be steep in some parts, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Once you reach Straža, you can park your bike at the designated area before exploring.
