Bus
From Bohinj, head to the Bohinj Jezero Bus Station. You can walk there from most accommodations in the area; it’s about a 10-15 minute walk from Lake Bohinj. Once at the bus station, look for the bus heading towards Kobarid. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Kobarid Bus Station. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk to Lake Krn, which is about a 40-minute walk from the bus station. Head southwest on Trg sv. Justa towards Gregorčičeva ulica, then turn left onto Gregorčičeva ulica. Follow the signs to Lake Krn, and soon you will arrive at the scenic lake.

Hiking
If you prefer to hike, you can start from the Lake Bohinj area. Follow the marked hiking trails towards Kobarid, which is approximately a 15 km trek. The route will take you through beautiful forests and scenic landscapes. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the journey. The hike should take about 4-5 hours. Once you reach Kobarid, follow the same directions from the Kobarid Bus Station to Lake Krn, as mentioned above.

Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Bohinj. Start by cycling towards Kobarid via the designated bike paths. The distance is about 15 km and should take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Kobarid, park your bike at the Kobarid Bus Station and follow the walking directions to Lake Krn, which is a 40-minute walk from the station.
