To reach Umag from Koper, head to the main bus station in Koper located at Kolodvorska ulica 1, 6000 Koper. From there, purchase a ticket for a bus headed to Umag. Buses typically run every hour, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once you board, enjoy the scenic ride which will take about 30-45 minutes. The bus will drop you off at the central bus station in Umag. From there, you can easily walk to various attractions in the city.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Koper. Start at the Koper waterfront promenade and head towards the direction of the coastal path that leads to the border with Croatia. Follow the signs for the bike path to Umag. The ride is approximately 20 kilometers and will take around 1.5 hours, depending on your biking speed. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea along the way. Once you arrive in Umag, you can park your bike at designated bike racks near the center.
Walking
For the adventurous, walking to Umag is an option, though it is quite a long trek. Start from the Koper city center and head towards the coastal path that leads out of Koper. Follow the path along the coast for about 20 kilometers. This journey will take approximately 4-5 hours, so ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water. You'll be rewarded with stunning seaside views, but be mindful of the time and your stamina. Once you reach Umag, you can explore the town on foot.
