Getting There

Walk
If you are in the city center, head towards the Ljubljana Castle. Start at Prešeren Square, which is one of the main squares in the city. From Prešeren Square, walk along the Ljubljanica River towards the south until you reach the Dragon Bridge (Zmajski Most). Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead. You will see the signs directing you to Ljubljana Castle. Follow the path that leads uphill, and you will arrive at the castle entrance, which is about a 20-minute walk.

From the city center, you can also take the funicular railway to Ljubljana Castle. Locate the funicular station near the base of the castle hill, close to the Ljubljana Tourist Information Center. The funicular runs frequently and takes you directly to the top of the hill, where the castle is located. After exiting the funicular, follow the signs to the Virtual Castle experience.
