Walking
From Tezno, start at the main intersection near Tezno Park. Head east on Tezno Road (Težka cesta) towards the city center. After approximately 800 meters, you will reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the Drava River promenade (Ob Dravi), a pleasant walking path along the river. Continue walking along the promenade for about 1 kilometer until you see a sign for Maribor Castle. Cross the bridge (Most Maribor) to reach the castle area. Maribor Castle is located at Grajska ulica 2.

Public Transport - Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Tezno,' which is about a 5-minute walk from the center of Tezno. Board bus number 1 or 6 towards the city center. The bus ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at 'Slomškov trg' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Maribor Castle. Head southeast on Slomškov trg, then take a left onto Grajska ulica. The castle will be on your left.

For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from various rental points in Tezno. Begin at Tezno Park and take Težka cesta heading towards the city center. After about 800 meters, join the cycling path along the Drava River. Follow the cycling route for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight to Grajska ulica, where Maribor Castle is located. Be mindful of traffic at intersections.
