Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, walk to the main bus station (Avtobusna postaja Nova Gorica). Take bus number 31 towards 'Gorizia'. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Aquileia' stop. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta. Head east on Via Roma, then turn left onto Via Capitello. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Capitolo. The Basilica will be on your right.

Start at Nova Gorica train station. Take a train to 'Gorizia Centrale' station. Upon arrival, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located nearby. From there, take a local bus to 'Aquileia'. Once you arrive, walk east on Via Roma, then turn left onto Via Capitello.
