From the center of Nova Gorica, walk to the Nova Gorica train station (Železniška postaja Nova Gorica). You can take a train towards Gorizia (Gorizia Centrale). The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. After arriving at Gorizia Centrale, exit the train station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Take the bus (check local bus schedules) heading towards the direction of Monte Sabotino. Inform the driver of your destination; they can help you with the right stop. The bus ride will take around 20-30 minutes.

If you prefer to walk, you can start from Nova Gorica and head towards the Gorizia border. Take the path leading towards the hills, which are clearly marked. Follow the signs directing you towards Monte Sabotino. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle in Nova Gorica. From the city center, head towards the Rive d'Arcano road that leads up to Monte Sabotino.
