Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, head to the main bus station located at 'Trg Edvarda Kardelja 5'. Take bus number 27 heading towards 'Bohinjska Bistrica'. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at 'Srednja vas v Bohinju'. Once you arrive, follow the signs towards the hiking trails leading to Viševnik, which is well-marked. The trailhead starts near the village center.

If you are already in Srednja vas v Bohinju, walk towards the north side of the village. You will see signs directing you to the Viševnik trailhead. The hike to the peak takes about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water and snacks with you.

You can also take a taxi from any point in Nova Gorica to Srednja vas v Bohinju. Make sure to pre-book or call a local taxi service upon arrival. Once you reach Srednja vas, follow the signs to the Viševnik trailhead as described above. The taxi ride should take around 40 minutes.
