Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Nova Gorica, start at the main square, Trg Edvarda Kardelja. From there, head northeast on Gregorčičeva ulica towards the bridge connecting to Italy. Cross the bridge into Gorizia, Italy. After crossing, continue straight onto Via XX Settembre. Follow this road until you reach the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto Viale D'Annunzio. Continue straight until you reach a fork, then stay to the right to remain on Viale D'Annunzio. After about 1 km, you will see signs directing you to Cividale del Friuli. Follow the signs for approximately 12 km until you reach Cividale del Friuli. Once in Cividale, head towards the city center where Piazza Paolo Diacono is located.

    From Nova Gorica, walk to the Nova Gorica bus station located at Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev 4. Purchase a ticket for Cividale del Friuli. Board a bus heading towards Cividale, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cividale del Friuli bus station, exit the station and walk straight ahead on Via A. Manzoni. Continue until you reach the intersection, then turn right onto Via V. Veneto. Follow this road for about 500 meters, and you will see signs for Piazza Paolo Diacono. The square will be on your left.
