Car
If you're driving from Sava, head southwest on the main road (H4). Follow the signs for Planina and continue towards 6232 Planina. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Planina, look for signs directing you to Planina Cave. There is a parking area available near the cave entrance. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €2-€5 for the day.
Public Transportation
To reach Planina Cave using public transport, take a bus from Sava to the nearest major town, which is Celje. From Celje, you can catch a regional bus heading to Planina. The bus ride from Celje to Planina will take around 40 minutes. Make sure to check the current bus schedule beforehand as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive in Planina, you can walk to the cave, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Be prepared for some uphill walking.
Walking
If you're already in Planina and want to walk to Planina Cave, start from the town center and follow the signs for the cave. The walk will take about 30 minutes and involves a gentle uphill hike. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially on warmer days.
