Getting there

Car

From Sava, head south on the main road (H4) towards Nomenj. Continue for about 20 kilometers. Once you reach Nomenj, look for signs pointing towards Slap Grmečica. Follow the local road signs leading you to the waterfall. There is a parking area available near the waterfall, but space may be limited during peak tourist seasons. Parking is generally free, but it's best to arrive early.

Public Transportation

Take a bus from Sava to the nearest larger city, such as Novo Mesto or Radovljica. From there, you may need to transfer to a local bus that heads towards Nomenj. Check the local bus schedules in advance, as services may not be frequent. Once you arrive in Nomenj, it may be a 15-20 minute walk to Slap Grmečica; follow local signs to guide you. Be prepared for some uneven terrain along the way.

Walking

If you are already in Nomenj and prefer walking, you can reach Slap Grmečica by following the marked hiking trails. Start at the center of Nomenj and follow the path that leads towards the forested area where the waterfall is located. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take about 30 minutes.
