Car
To reach Šmarna Gora District by car, start from the center of Ljubljana. Head northeast on Šubičeva ulica towards the main road, then turn right onto Trg Francoske Revolucije. Continue onto Dunajska cesta (highway). Follow the signs for A1 towards Maribor. After about 5 km, take the exit for Ljubljana - Šmartno. Continue straight until you see signs for Šmarna Gora. The destination will be on your right, with ample parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To get to Šmarna Gora District using public transportation, start at the main bus station in Ljubljana (Avtobusna postaja Ljubljana). Take bus number 6 (direction: Šmartno) or bus number 22 (direction: Črnuče). The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Šmartno' stop. From the bus stop, walk east towards the Šmarna Gora trailhead, which is well-marked. It is about a 15-minute walk to the entrance of the district.
