Car
From Škocjan Caves, exit the park and head towards the main road (H4). Follow the signs for the H4 towards Trieste. Drive for approximately 45 minutes (around 45 km) until you reach Trieste. Once you are in Trieste, follow the signs for 'Castello di Miramare' which will direct you to V.le Miramare. The castle is located at V.le Miramare, 34151 Trieste TS, Italy. There is parking available near the castle, but be aware that there might be a cost for parking.

From Škocjan Caves, you will need to take a bus to the nearest train station, which is in the town of Reka. Take the bus from the Škocjan Caves bus stop to Reka (approximately 30 minutes). Once at Reka, catch a train to Trieste. The train ride will take about 1 hour. After arriving at the Trieste train station, walk to the bus stop outside the station and catch bus number 36 or 37 towards 'Castello di Miramare'. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Be sure to check the bus and train schedules in advance to ensure a smooth transfer.
