If you are driving from Ljubljana, take the A1 highway towards Celje. After about 1 hour, take the exit for Celje and follow the signs for the city center. Once in Celje, follow the signs to 'Grad' (Castle) which will lead you to Cesta na Grad. The castle is located at Cesta na Grad 78, and there is parking available near the castle premises.
Public Transportation
To reach Celje Castle by public transport, take a train from Ljubljana to Celje railway station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. From the train station, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a local bus (line 1 or 3) towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Celje Center', then walk towards Cesta na Grad. Follow the signs to the castle, which is located at Cesta na Grad 78.
Car
If you are coming from Maribor, head west on the A1 highway towards Celje. After about 30 minutes, take the exit for Celje and follow the signs into the city. As you approach the city center, look for signs directing you to 'Grad'. Continue along Cesta na Grad until you reach the castle at Cesta na Grad 78. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
From Maribor, you can take a bus to Celje, which usually takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Celje, you can either walk to the castle or take a local taxi. To walk, head towards the city center, then take Cesta na Grad, which will lead you directly to Celje Castle located at Cesta na Grad 78.
