Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Ljubljana, which is approximately 80 kilometers away from Logar Valley. Take the A1 motorway towards Maribor and exit at the 'Ljubno ob Savinji' exit. Continue on the H4 road and follow the signs to Solčava. After reaching Solčava, follow the signs for Logarska Dolina, which will lead you directly to the valley entrance. There may be a parking fee at the entrance, typically around €5.

• Public Transportation

  For those opting for public transportation, take a train from Ljubljana to the town of Celje. From Celje, board a bus towards Solčava. The bus journey may take around 1-1.5 hours. Once in Solčava, you can either walk or take a taxi to Logar Valley. The distance is about 8 kilometers, and taxis can be found near the bus station.   If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Celje or Ljubljana. The taxi ride from Ljubljana to Logar Valley can cost approximately €80-100 and takes about 1.5 hours. From Celje, it would be cheaper, around €30-40 for a 30-minute ride.

  For the more adventurous, cycling is an option. Start from Solčava and take the scenic route to Logar Valley. The distance is about 8 kilometers, and the route is mostly uphill but offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Ensure you have a good quality mountain bike and be prepared for a workout!
