Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving to Schlossberg Graz, use your GPS and enter the address 'Am Schlossberg, 8010 Graz, Austria'. From major highways, you can take the A9 (Pyhrn Motorway) and exit at Graz-West. Follow signs towards Graz city center. Once in the city, look for parking options near the Schlossberg. The closest parking garages are Opernring Garage and the Parkplatz am Schlossberg. Note that parking fees vary and can cost between €1.50 to €2.50 per hour.

  • Public Transportation

    If using public transportation, take a train or bus to Graz Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, you can take tram line 1 or 7, which heads towards the city center. Get off at the 'Jakominiplatz' stop. From Jakominiplatz, it is a 10-minute walk to Schlossberg. Follow the signs for Schlossberg, and you will find yourself at the base of the hill. Alternatively, you can take the funicular from the base of Schlossberg directly up to the top. The funicular ticket costs around €2.50 one way.

  • Walking

    For those already within Graz city center, Schlossberg is accessible by foot. Starting from Hauptplatz (the main square), head towards the Schlossberg, which is visible from most parts of the city. The walk will take around 15-20 minutes. You can enter the park area and follow the paths leading up to the summit, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the city.
