Getting there

Bus

From Ljubljana city center, walk to the main bus station (AVTOBUSNA POSTAJA LJUBLJANA). You can easily reach it by following the signs towards the bus station from the nearby attractions like Tivoli Park. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Bled. Buses to Bled run frequently, approximately every hour. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Bled, you will need to walk towards the lake. Follow the signs pointing towards Lake Bled, which is a short 10-15 minute walk.

Train and Bus

From Ljubljana, take a train from Ljubljana Railway Station (Železniška Postaja Ljubljana) to Bled Jezero station. Trains run several times a day, and the journey takes around 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Bled Jezero, exit the station and take a local bus or a taxi to reach the lake area. The bus stop is right outside the train station and will take you directly to the lake in about 10 minutes.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Ljubljana to Bled. Taxis can be found throughout the city, or you can book one via a mobile app. The ride will take approximately 1 hour depending on traffic. Be sure to specify 'Bled Lake' or 'Bled Island' as your destination.
