If you're driving from Ljubljana, head southwest on the A1 highway towards Postojna. The journey takes about 50 minutes (approximately 60 km). Take the Postojna exit and follow signs towards Postojna Cave. The cave is located at Jamska cesta 30, 6230 Postojna. Parking is available near the entrance, but there may be a fee (approximately €5).
Public Transportation
To reach Postojna Cave via public transportation, take a train from Ljubljana to Postojna. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Postojna train station, you can take a local bus (lines 5 or 6) or a taxi to the cave entrance. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes and costs about €1.50.
