Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Zasavje, head towards the A1 highway. Take the exit toward Ljubljana. Continue on the A1 for about 40 km until you reach the Ljubljana exit. Follow signs for the city center and merge onto the H2 road. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, and take the second exit onto the Trg Republike road. After approximately 1 km, turn left onto the Grajska planota road. You will find Ljubljana Castle at the end of this road, with parking available nearby.

Upon arriving at Ljubljana station, exit and walk towards the bus stop located outside the station. Take bus number 6 or 8 towards 'Kongresni trg' and get off at the 'Kongresni trg' stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk uphill to the castle. Follow the signs for 'Ljubljana Castle' which will guide you up to the entrance.
