Walking
From the central area of Mogadishu, head east towards the sea. Start at the landmark of the Mogadishu Cathedral. Walk down the main road, which is called Maka Al-Mukarama. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Siad Barre Avenue. Turn left onto Siad Barre Avenue and continue for about 500 meters. When you reach the intersection with the road that leads towards the beach, turn right. Almnara Tower should be on your left side after another 300 meters. Look for the distinctive tower which is a historical landmark.

If you are near the Liido Beach area, start from Liido Beach and walk northwest towards the main road. Head towards the intersection with Maka Al-Mukarama Road. Once you reach Maka Al-Mukarama, head south until you reach the junction with Siad Barre Avenue. Turn left onto Siad Barre Avenue and follow the directions above.

From the former presidential palace (Villa Somalia), walk northeast along the main road, which leads towards the coast. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Maka Al-Mukarama Road. Turn right onto Maka Al-Mukarama and head towards the town center. After about 1.2 kilometers, turn left onto Siad Barre Avenue and follow the directions above to reach Almnara Tower.
