Getting There

    From Addo Elephant National Park, exit the park via the main gate and head towards the R335 road. Turn left onto the R335 and continue straight for about 11 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the N2 highway. Turn right onto the N2 highway. Continue on the N2 for approximately 15 kilometers. Take the Thornhill exit (R102) and turn left onto the R102 road. After about 5 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Lot 13 Strandfontein, where the African Dawn Wildlife Sanctuary is located. Follow the signs, and you should arrive at the sanctuary in about 30 minutes from the park.

    If you're using public transportation, you will need to get a taxi or shuttle from Addo Elephant National Park to the nearest town with bus services, which is Port Elizabeth.
