From the Amatola Mountains, head towards the N6 highway. Take the N6 south towards East London. After approximately 80 km, you will reach East London. As you approach the city, follow the signs for the R72 road towards the city center. Continue on R72 and then merge onto Vincent Rd. Follow Vincent Rd until you reach Beaconsfield Rd. Turn left onto Beaconsfield Rd and the East London Zoo will be on your right. Parking is available at the zoo, which may incur a small fee.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from one of the nearby towns in the Amatola Mountains to East London. The main bus service is operated by Intercape, which runs regular services to East London. Once you arrive at the East London Bus Terminal, you can catch a taxi or a local bus to the zoo. For taxis, ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The zoo is about 5 km from the bus terminal, and the taxi ride will cost around R50-R70.
