If you are starting from the East London CBD, walk towards Oxford Street until you reach the intersection with Fleet Street. Turn right onto Fleet Street and continue walking straight until you reach the traffic circle. From the traffic circle, take the first exit onto the R72 (also known as the Esplanade) and walk along the riverfront until you reach the intersection with Botha Road. Turn left onto Botha Road and continue walking. After a short distance, you will find the 1820 Settler Memorial on your right at 2 Botha Rd, Selborne.

From the East London CBD, head to the nearest minibus taxi rank, which is located near the East London Museum. Look for a taxi heading towards Selborne. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Botha Road. After a short ride, the driver will drop you off at the intersection of Botha Road and the R72. From there, walk a short distance down Botha Road, and you will see the 1820 Settler Memorial on your right.
