Car
If you are traveling by car, take the N3 highway from Durban or Johannesburg towards the Drakensberg Mountains. Exit at the R600 towards Winterton and follow the signs to the Drakensberg. Continue on the R600 until you reach the entrance of the Royal Natal National Park. There is a toll fee of approximately R50 per vehicle for entering the park. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the Sentinel Peak car park. Note that the road can be rough and is best suited for 4x4 vehicles.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Durban to Winterton. Once in Winterton, you can arrange for a local taxi or shuttle service to take you to Royal Natal National Park. Ensure you confirm the fare with the driver beforehand. Upon arrival at the park, you will also need to pay the entrance fee of around R50 per vehicle. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Sentinel Peak trailhead.
